How old are you? - 18, my birthday is October 3rd.

What does your URL mean?- I’m obsessed with owls in general, I did a ceramic series of owls, and their eyes were spirals, I thought it would be original :)

What does your header mean?- “And the arms of the ocean are carrying me” is a line from a Florence + the Machine song “Never Let Me Go” I have it tattooed on my arm.

Do you always follow back?- I do! But I don’t normally check out the blogs I follow. If you want me to check out your blog just message me :)

Where are you from?- I was born in Oklahoma, moved to Virginia Beach when I was 7, and moved to West Virginia a few months ago.

How tall are you?- 6”2”

How long have you been making art?- Longer than I can even remember. I went to a special art program once a week from 3rd grade to 8th, and I even went to a visual and performing arts academy for high school for the first three years, as opposed to my zone school. I’ve done countless, camps and programs, and can say that I’ve experimented with nearly every medium, from painting, to drawing, ceramics, metal smithing, photography, animation, graphic design, printmaking, and many more. Art is my true passion in life.

How did you get into modeling?-It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but I was never really tall enough or had the build to be a model. So I put the thought in the back of my mind for many years until recently. I’m still really skinny, but I’m 6 foot 2 now “which helped convince my agency I think.” I had just moved to a new state and decided to look into modeling again, so I started searching for agencies in the tri-state area. I found an agency that wasn’t too far away, and had excellent reviews, so I sent in an email. They responded really fast and the next week I drove with my mom to meet with the head of the agency. They took some pics, and gave me a contract to look over. I came back a week later for a photo-shoot and signed :) This all happened a little over 4 months ago, and I have high hopes for the future, hopefully you guys will see me in a magazine some time soon :)

How often do you meditate? I practice transcendental meditation. I try to meditate every night for as long as 10 to 25 minutes. Meditation really has changed my life. I’ve found nothing else in this world that can make me feel as if my body is melting. I’ve seen beautiful things, and have felt my mind expand in my head. It’s truly an amazing thing, and I wish I had more people to talk about it with :)

What religion are you? I don’t have a base set of religious beliefs, check under my spirituality tab. I have a few comments about religion, and meditation as well. If I had to say, I think I’m closest to Zen Buddhism. I do believe in a higher power, and I believe that I can seek spiritual enlightenment through meditation and inner reflection.
